7/22/08- There has been a serious lack of photos on this site lately. Working for clients and my brief hiatus in NJ has taken time away from my free shooting time. Flugtag was amazing. You can see my work on redbull-photofiles.com. Deegan set up a ramp at his new house that everyone has been sessioning. I shot there yesterday and today. I am working on photos, but I need to head back over there shortly to shoot some catalog stuff for Mulisha. To top it all off, starting Thursday, I will be helping out Ryan Leyba with the EXPN.com Brap Haps moto blog as the West Coast correspondent. For now, click the image on the right to view photos from Deegan's new house.

7/17/08- What's up everyone? I still haven't made the server switch. My hosting company is lagging and it is taking them over 2 days to get me log in info to the new server. Tomorrow I fly to Tampa to shoot Red Bull Flugtag. I am really excited to go shoot something that doesn't involve motocross. It will be a nice change of pace. Check out EXPN.com to see an interview I did with Brian Deegan about his predictions for XGames 14. Here is a direct link to the interview, http://expn.go.com/expn/story?id=3491670.

7/15/08- The site will be down for a day or two. Everything should be back up and running by the weekend. I am switching the site to a new server. Sorry for the inconvenience.

7/2/08- So what have I been up to lately, other then not updating the site? Let's see, I am still back east in NJ. With the current ridiculously high flight prices, it was financially smarter for me to stay here for the month instead of flying back a forth from West to East Coast. I have this weekend off for the 4th, sorry no Red Budd, but I will be going to Budds Creek the weekend after. Following Budds Creek I am going to Tampa, FL for Red Bull Flugtag. I am really excited for that event. It will be a great opportunity for me and a change of pace from the typical moto event. After that I fly back to CA and before you know it, XGames is in town. Stay tuned for more.

6/24/08- The first round of the AST Dew Tour kicked off this past weekend in Baltimore, MD. There was a stacked field of talent, but unfortunately, only 10 riders would make it into the finals. New for this year, riders ranked in the top 3 in points get an automatic spot in the finals. Nate Adams, Adams Jones, and Mike Mason did not have to compete in the prelims to make it into the finals because of their 2007 series rankings.
The little nugz, Blake Williams, was back for redemption. You may remember his scary get off after time in his second run last year, which wiped out the remainder of his 2007 season. Bilko was on fire in Baltimore, throwing huge real 360 variations and a massive back flip cliff hanger over the 70 foot dirt table top. He set the highest score of the day in his first run, turning 2 time Dew Cup winner Nate Adams into the hunter instead of the hunted. Nate gave it everything he had, but was unable to better Bilko's score. He would settle for second, followed by Matt Rebeaud. Click the image on the right to view the photos.
1st Williams, Blake 90.33
2nd Adams, Nate 89.33
3rd Rebeaud, Mathieu 89
4th Pagès, Thomas 86.83
5th McNeil, Jim 86.67
6th Jones, Adam 85.77
7th Lusk, Jeremy 84.67
8th Maddison, Robbie 83.73
9th Danielson, Nixey 83.5
10th Mason, Mike 82.97 .

6/14/08- Howdy Y'all. Today is the day for the first Red Bull XFighters on US soil. The course has been very challenging for the riders. Unfortunately, Eigo Sato and Dany Torres suffered crashes during practice and will not be competing this evening. Charles Pages had a scary mid air get off. I have never seen someone bail off the bike that way, only to get up and ride off. It was incredible. Jeremy Lusk and Robbie Maddison also went down. They are both ok and ready to compete.
I am shooting this event for Red Bull, with 4 other amazing photographers; Garth Milan, Christian Pondella, Rich Van Every, and Flo Hagena. yesterday was a long, grueling 15 hour day. If the photos weren't turning out so great, I might be mad that we were spending so much time at the event. Haha. Check out all of our work at Red Bull Photo-Files. It is constantly being updated with our work throughout the day.
You can also tune in live tonight on ESPN360.com at 9:30PM ESTfor a live webcast of the event. Be sure to watch, because the event is going to be EPIC!!!!!

Click the image on the right to view the photos. Be sure to visit redbullxfighters.com for more info on the event. The contest will also be aired on ABC on Sunday, June 22

6/5/08- I can't believe it is already June. Weeks are starting to feel like days. Where has the time gone? Tonight I am doing a sunset photo shoot with Jimmy Fitzpatrick at his place for the next Osiris Shoes ad. The weather today is awesome, so we should get some great stuff. I'd like to give a special Birthday shout out to Derek Garland. He turns 23 today. Boy do they grow up fast! Here is a special surprise for everyone, some wallpapers from the Glen Helen National. Enjoy.

5/28/08- I am off on the road again. This weekend is the second round of the outdoor series, but I will not be attending. Instead, I am off to Cabo to take photos at a fellow MX photographer's wedding, Cameron Baird. I have never been to Cabo before so I am pretty excited, even if it is for work. Wish me luck. I don't want to miss the shot and have the bride kill me.

5/26/08- The AMA Motocross Nationals picked up where they left off last year in San Bernardino, CA. For the first time in 2 years, Glen Helen motocross track hosted the opening round of the series. After missing the end of the 07 MX series, and majority of the 08 SX series, James Stewart returned in full force, sweeping both motos. Mike Alessi looked very solid, as he went on to finish second behind Stewart in both motos. Davey Millsaps and Tim Ferry battled for third all day long. Millsaps edged out Ferry for the 3-3 finish for third overall.
West Coast Supercross Champion, Jason Lawrence, came out swinging in the first moto of 2008. The Yamaha of troy pilot held off a hard charging Austin Stroupe for his first career moto win. Defending Lites Outdoor Champion, Ryan Villopoto, started outside the top 10 and made his way up to fifth. Ryan Dungey led early in moto two before being passed by Villopoto. Austin Stroupe was hot on his tail until a small mistake left him on the ground. Stroupe was able to salvage a third place finish for his first career Outdoor win. Villopoto and Lawrence shared the same results, but since Villopoto had the better second moto finish, he finished second ahead of Lawrence. Click the image on the right to view the photos.

5/21/08- Yesterday was a pretty mellow day at Deegan's house. That is if you think back flipping dirt bikes is mellow. Jimmy Fitzpatrick got off two really good seat grab flips and Twitch is getting great extension on his KOD flips. Lusk is working hard on lazy boy flips, which is why you won't see many photos of him in this gallery. You may notice Deegan looks a little bit different. His long movie star hair is gone and the mohawk is back. Watch out, because Little Deegan is sporting the same hair cut as his dad. The kid is barely 2 years old and is already popping wheelie's, doing nac nacs, and jumping his bike with training wheels. Click the image on the right to view the photos.
I also had Deegan, Faisst and Lusk in the studio yesterday. The guys pealed their shirts and threw on a Mulisha New Era hat for the upcoming Mulisha/New Era ads. You will be very happy ladies when you see Faisst in his "300" the movie pose. Haha.
