6/9/09- Twitch, Potter, Maddo, Fitzpatrick, Taka, Garland, Dusseau, Agee, and Stephens all rode in an action-packed demo for the people at the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. The turn out for both demos was insane, with fans lining every inch of the fence. Not only did the fans get to see the top FMXer's ride in their home town, but they also were able to help raise money for the Lusk Legacy Foundation by purchasing t-shirts, wristbands, and stickers. Afterwards, the City of Temecula held a remembrance ceremony honoring the life and achievements of Jeremy. Click the image on the right to view all the action.

5/27/09- My Memorial Day day weekend was an absolute blast. On Friday I went to Deegan's to shoot some photos of the guys. Don't worry, photos from there are coming. I went to bed early that night so I could get up early to shoot Glen Helen. I ended up getting there at 7:30am. What the heck was I thinking?
The racing action was great, and from the looks of it, 09 is going to be one hell of a season. The amount of talent is for onces evenly distributed between the 450 and 250 classes. There really is no clear choice for champion like in years past when Carmichael and Stewart were in the running. I was hoping to get to attend some late night festivities after the race, but by the time I got home and showered it was almost 10. Needless to say, 14 hours at the track wiped me out and I went to bed instead.
On Sunday I rode at Starwest with my buddies from NJ, Justin and Bayo. I haven't ridden with them in years, so it was a lot of fun. I did end up taking a digger at the end of the day and I now have a bruise the size of a baseball on my forearm. That didn't stop me from enjoying a BBQ/pool party in the afternoon. There's nothing quite like dirt bike wounds, good friends, hot chicks, and lots of Cisco!
Sound exciting enough for you yet? It gets better. On Monday I went with Twitch to McGrath's 700+ acre ranch to shoot photos of MC, Pastrana, Nitro Circus, Twitch, Potter, Renner, Josh Grant, Will Hahn, and Josh Summey. I felt like a little kid again and was completely star struck being at MC's place. It was a childhood dream come true, but I kept my composure. HAHA. There was lots of sick riding, cool stunts, and a little bit of carnage. I'd love to show you all the photos from there, but I have to wait for the OK to release them first.
So yea, I am a lucky bastard. I am extremely appreciative and fortunate for the things I get to do on a regular basis. Some how I manage to get paid for it all. I know this isn't going to last forever, so I might as well live it up while I can. Wouldn't you?
My offering for you all today is a massive gallery from Glen Helen, featuring over 425 photos! I haven't put together a gallery that size in quite some time. Going through and editing all these photos sucked because I wasn't able to lay my left arm down on a desk. I encountered a cramp or 30 during the process. HAHA. Enough of my rambling. Click the image on the right to view the photos.

5/16/09- This past Thursday the Metal Mulisha guys put on a demo for the Marines at the Camp Pendelton base. It was great to give back to the fine men and women who give their lives to keep our country safe. They were even nice enough to let us play with their ultra deadly helicopters too. It was a lot of fun. Check out all the action on the Mulisha blog.

5/13/09- My NV/HC! get away went by way too fast. It took us all a solid 3 days to recover from the Vegas trip. Our livers were hating us! I was even forced to visit an Urgent Care. I have been sick since my Glamis trip and it turns out I had a sinus infection. I was forced to go to the doctors to get antibiotics. Man, I hate going to the doctors office and thankfully, it went smoothly. When we weren't busy perfecting our band on the new Metallica Guitar Hero, playing Madden, tanning by the pool, or having killer dance parties, Mason and Jones actually rode. Check out the photos from Dustin Miller's house.

5/6/09- Last week's Las Vegas trip was out of control! It was the best Vegas trip since Mason's birthday in 06. Everything almost went so smoothly it felt like a dream! The trip started off on a great note, with dinner at a sandwich shop that had an endless supply of hot sauces. With belly's full of sandwiches and hot sauce, Mase, Jorge, and I farted ourselves to sleep.
In the morning we loaded up and met Carey Hart, Bilko, McNeil, and McAvoy at Hart's riding spot. The one downside to the trip was the high winds. We made the best of the situation and still crushed some sick shots.
After the morning ride, we went back to Mason's new Vegas home to relax by the pool before the nighttime session. The captain and coke was flowing like water, but not for the riders, of course!
We headed out to Hart's at night to take some sunset photos. We hoped for less windy conditions, but Mother Nature must be pissed at me, because it was windy again. On the up side, there were groupies waiting for us at the jumps. After signing tons of autographs on their chests, the guys geared up and hit the ramps. Jorge was my trusty lighting assistant for the evening, which was a big help. The shots turned out great.
We loaded up the trucks and headed back to Mike's to get ready to go out. There were so many of us that we had to order a party bus to take us to the strip. Earlier in the day Hart had put all of us on the guest list and hooked us up with out own table. This is where the story ends for all of you. I wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble...HAHA. Click the image on the right to view all the riding action.

5/4/09- Five days in Vegas sounds like a great idea...until the day you have to drive home. To make things even worse for myself, I decided to lengthen my ride home by going to Mike Mason's house. Even though he lives in NV, it is much further away from Vegas than So Cal. Needless to say, I am recovering from 4 days of straight partying and shooting. It was a blast and worth the painful ride home. I still have a ton of FMX photos to go through, but for now you can look through my photos from the SX finals.

4/26/09- The racing in Salt Lake City was freaking awesome with a nice helping of drama and controversy mixed in. In the Lites class, Ryan Dungey needed to finish 4th or better if Jake Weimer won to win his first championship. Dungey lead early and played it smart by keeping it on 2 wheels the whole race. He lost the battle in Salt Lake to Trey Canard, but won the war when Weimer was only able to make his way into second position. Congratulations to Ryan Dungey for winning his first AMA Pro Championship.
The Supercross class featured an exciting battle between Stewart and Reed. Reed was out front from the start, but Stewart was hot on his tail and Reed could not shake him. The two traded the lead a couple of times, till an incident with lapped rider Kyle Chisholm almost took out Reed. Kind of odd that Stewart's teammate B-lines the turn straight for Reed. At least he was nice enough to momentarily hit the brakes so he did not clean out Stewart. Stewart was able to pull away after this, taking home his 11th win and extending his points leads to 6 going into the final round in Las Vegas. It should be a good one, but something is going to have to happen to Stewart if Reed hopes to take home his second consecutive Supercross Championship. 4/24/09- I am getting my stuff together for the Salt Lake SX this weekend. I fly out of So Cal in a couple of hours. No redeye flights for me this weekend. Woohoo! The weather outlook isn't the brightest, so I will be bringing what little rain gear I have. A little water in my camera might actually be a good thing. Hopefully it washes out all the sand it collected from Glamis last week.
Once I got back from Caineville I got a call to head out to Glamis with photo superstar, Garth Milan, to shoot the Red Bull FMX team. Renner, Rebeaud, McElroy, Maddo, Courey, Sherwood, and Rowe were on hand to film with the Good Morning America crew. It was a fun session out in the sand. For me, it was a mini Great Ride Open since I went from Caneville to Glamis in under 2 weeks. It was a blast! To peep some of the photos from Garth and me, check out this gallery on ESPN- http://espn.go.com/action/gallery?id=4086225.
I've been fighting a cold, flu, or whatever you want to call it since before Caineville. If I knew what the heck was wrong with me I wouldn't be shooting photos I'd be a doctor. HAHA. It seems to have gone away for now, but the cold temperatures and rain in Utah aren't going to help me get any better. Hopefully the rain decides to skip the race Saturday. For now, it is time for me to get back to packing. Until next time, everyone.

4/10/09- I am sad to say that the Caineville trip is over and I am back in So Cal. It was so much fun that I did not want it to end. It isn't very often you get to go riding with your buddies in one of the sickest places known to mankind. One of the best parts about the trip was not having technology to get in the way of things. We were all able to ride without any distractions from the outside world. The whole crew had a great time. I wish we could have stayed longer!
A special thanks to Mike Mason for putting all of this together and to Nate Adams for letting me stay in his rig. Click the image on the right to view all the photos. You will even notice a couple of me. I spent more time riding then shoot. It was awesome!

3/26/09- Two years ago it seemed like I was shooting at Nate Adams' house all the time. To be honest, I actually got tired of shooting at his house since I was there so much. Now I can't remember the last time I had a chance to shoot at his yard, so when Nate called me up to snap some pics on him, I jumped on the opportunity
Nate's wrist is still sore from his Anaheim 1 mishap, but he is a trooper and rode through the pain. We wanted to get more photos, but he hasn't been back on the bike long and his wrist started to hurt. It was great to get back out there and shoot with the Destroyer. I hope Nate has a healthy 2009 from here on out. Be on the look out for more photos of Nate and his yard. For now, click the image on the right to view my latest work of Mr. Adams.

3/23/09- St. Louis Supercross was absolutely amazing. Pastrana designed a fast and extremely technical track. It really separated the men from the boys. Reed capitalized on Stewart's miscues, taking home the win and extending his points lead. It is great to finally have a back and forth series that is going to come down to the final round. Click the image on the right to view the photos from St. Louis.

3/20/09- I've spent this past week in New Jersey visiting my family and friends. It was nice to get away from the Socal scene for awhile to relax and clear my head. It is so easy to get caught up in things out there and lose track of why we are all really out there, Motocross.
I fly to St. Louis tomorrow morning for supercross. The track looks absolutely sick, which doesn't surprise me one bit since Travis Pastrana designed it. To make things even more interesting on the track, TP himself will be dusting off his boots and line up to race. I am so excited to watch Travis race. I hope he can make it into the main event, because it would be awesome to see him out there battling again. I heard his lap times are consistent for 20 laps and only a couple ticks off the top guys. Not bad for a guy who is now a MTV Reality TV Star.
For now, you can view a little gallery I put together from Deegan's house. I shot these photos the day before I left for NJ. The weather sucked and of course my strobe batteries were pretty much dead. So much for me being prepared. HAHA. Click the image on the right to view the photos.

Click this link for more info. Mark the date on your calendar and be sure to come support Lusk. It is going to be a lot of fun.

3/5/09- I went to Deegan's the other day to shoot photos of Deegan, Potter, Twitch, Garland, Wes, and Fluffer. The guys are starting to get back into the swing of things and are riding a lot more. You will notice everyone wearing the neckbraces. Leatt and Alpinestar both fitted the Mulisha team braces. It is great to see everyone being so serious about safety now. As for the photos, the lighting that day sucked. The clouds were in and out all day and it drove me nuts. Click the image on the right to view the photos from Deegan's.

2/20/09- Three weeks ago I went to Fitzpatrick's house to shoot photos of Lusk, Potter, and Fitz riding. They were filming with Jay Schweitzer for his next video. The boys laid it down for the cameras with tricks such as Potter's Cliff Hanger Flip and Lusk's huge Seat Grab Indy Flip over the 130 foot ramp to dirt jump. Little did I know this would be the last time I would shoot with Lusk. I wish I had shot more photos of him that day. You are a legend, Jeremy! 2/11/09- I had some photos of Jeremy from the Superbowl party at Fitzpatrick's uncle's house a little over a week ago. It was a lot of fun and I am glad I got to spend that last time with Jeremy. Click the images for a larger view.

2/10/09- I was privileged enough to have gotten to know Jeremy as a friend over the last 3 years. I have to be honest here. The first time I met Jeremy I was pretty scared of him. He looked like such a rough tough guy on the outside, so it took me awhile at first to spark up a conversation with him. Little did I know that Jeremy was such a fun and loving person. Don't get me wrong, if you got out of line a he would be the first one to smack you back into place, but he did it with good intentions. I will always remember the funny phrases he would repeat over and over till he found a new one, followed by his signature chuckle.
He was a positive person even in the worst of situations, especially when it came to riding. Jeremy was never one to turn down a show. He was one of the hardest working riders in the sport. After years of dedication to riding, his efforts earned him a XGames 14 FMX Gold, Best Trick Silver, and Transworld Motocross Magazine's 2008 FMX Rider of the Year. It is an absolutely tragedy that he was taken from this world so soon. His hard work and dedication to life and riding will live on in the memories of his family, friends, and fans. Jeremy Lusk will never be forgotten. RIP 1984-2009.
In honor of Jeremy, I put together a gallery of images from 2006-2009.

2/9/09- It is with the greatest sadness that we report...our beloved Jeremy Lusk passed away at approximately 11:03 PM PST this evening due to complications from the crash sustained Saturday evening in Costa Rica. Still in the Calderon Hospital Intensive Care Unit, he was surrounded by his loving Mother and Father, Chuck and Gina Lusk, his wonderful wife Lauren, his Mother and Father-in-Law Lynne and Larry and many of his closest Mulisha family members including Brian Deegan, Ryan Hagy, Cameron Steele
and Erik Apple.
Please keep Jeremy and his family in your thoughts and prayers. All the warm thoughts, comments and support are comforting in these times.
We will provide further updates regarding arrangements as we get them
You will be truly missed by all. You were an amazing person, friend, and husband. RIP JEREMY LUSK.

2/8/09- It is hard to sit here and write about what happened to Jeremy Lusk last night. If you haven't seen it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay7XDfLcsLA, he suffered a horrifying crash in Costa Rica. Jeremy is one of the strongest people I know, both physically and mentally. If anyone can pull of of this, it is him. Right now Jeremy needs everyones prayers and support. The latest official word on his condition is as follows:
-Jeremy Lusk was transported to Calderon Hospital in San Jose, where he now remains in a medically induced coma, in stable, but very critical condition where doctors are closely monitoring the swelling on his brain.
-Post-crash, suspected brain trauma required immediate surgery to treat a subdural hematoma on the brain.
-Surgery lasted 4 hours and 30 minutes.
-X-rays were done to the neck and spinal column and no breaks are being reported by hospital.
-When asked about injuries to other parts of his body, hospital is not reporting other injuries at this time.
-Jeremy was attended to by the head of neurological surgery, Dr. Jorge Ramirez.
-Doctors report that they will know more Jeremy's future prognosis within the next crucial 36 to 48 hours.
Contact has been made with the Critical Care Trauma Unit at Calderon hospital, where the unit charge tech, confirmed all of the information above
An emergency fund to help defer the costs of Jeremy Lusk's medical care has already been established and is set up to take donations immediately. Through the quick-moving efforts of the Athlete Recovery Fund, those interested in making a donation may do so by visiting www.athleterecoveryfund.com and clicking on the “make a donation” button.
All donations made through this website, starting TODAY, are earmarked directly for Jeremy Lusk's care! Financial arrangements are being put into place to pay for the Medi-Vac international air transportation that Jeremy will need once he is stable and can be transferred to a leading United States-based Head Trauma Center. It is likely that these funds will be needed within the next few days; therefore immediate donations are certainly appreciated..
A side note- Photos from last night's supercross are now posted.

2/3/09- What's up everyone? As you may have noticed by now, I did not make it to the San Fran SX. Instead, I stayed home and shot at Fitzpatrick's house. Jay Schwitzer was out there filming for his new video with Fitz, Potter, and Lusk. Twitch was out there too, but didn't ride long because he went long on the dirt jump and tweaked his back. On Sunday Fitzpatrick's uncle had a huge Superbowl Party. We are talking full catering, open bar, magician for the kids, and more. It was a lot of fun. No bottle of alcohol was neglected! However, I am very sad that I now have to wait till August to watch football again. The weekend's are going to be so boring now...Well I guess there is motocross, HAHA.
To make up for not going to San Fran, I put together 9 wallpapers from the first 4 rounds. Click the thumbnails for the full size photos. Enjoy.

1/25/09- I am completely exhausted. Getting up at 3:30am then shooting all day, followed by a 6am wake up call to fly back to CA kicked my ass. Don't worry, I made sure to sleep for an hour on the flight so I'd have the energy to work on photos. Click the image on the right to view the photos from the Houston Supercross.

1/23/09- It is 10:22pm as I write this and I have to get up at 3:30am to catch a flight to Houston, TX for Supercross. I am not quite sure why I always pick the flights that arrive the latest and leave the earliest. I suppose my couch is way too comfortable to be away from. HAHA.
I posted photos from Fitzpatrick's house. I shot there on Monday and Tuesday. There were a ton of people out there riding. You will notice photos of Fitzpatrick's helmet. So you don't worry, he walked away with only a concussion!

1/18/09- Anaheim had some amazing racing action last night. Chad Reed is hauling ass right now. He sliced his way through the pack to finish second behind Stewart. If he had a couple more laps he might have caught Stewart. Now only if Reed and Stewart can start up front together. That is going to be one heck of a race. Ryan Dungey won his second race in a row in the Lites class and extended his points lead over Ryan Morais. Click the image on the right to view the photos.

I am going iron man style today, leaving this morning and driving home right after the race. Good thing there is an endles supply of energy drinks in the pits!

1/2/09- Holy sh!t it is 2009 already. It is hard for me to believe that 3 years ago I loaded up my car and drove to CA. Time sure flies by and I have had a lot of amazing times and memories since then. If Maddo's jump in Vegas was any indication of what 09 is going to be like, I am sure there are plenty more good times ahead.
Don't be surprised if you start seeing me on celeb blog's in photos with the girls from The Hills because I snuck on camera a few times when they were interviewing Robbie after his jump. HAHA, just kidding of course...or am I? Since I was there working for Red Bull I can post a huge gallery like I normally do. Photos can be found on redbullphotofiles.com or you can click the image on the right to see 12 photos. That is it for now. Time to get ready for Anaheim 1 tomorrow!
